Sisters Of The Heart I found such truth held in your words I could feel the warmth of your smile it mattered not the amount of distance that came between us through the miles. Their was an air of honesty about you that I could sense from here to there and I knew that God had sent an angel for with which my soul could share. I’ve sensed it from that first moment I’ve certainly known it from the start that we were more than just mere friends we would always be sisters of the heart. (Dedicated with } If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... [This message has been edited by Gentle Spirit (10-06-2002 03:53 PM).] |

Sometimes friends make even better sisters. This is a nice poem for your friend Donna. Hugs, Marti Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. |

This is so very, very true, Donna. This particular website has been more than a poet's haven to myself...and I am sure I could speak for many sisters, AND brothers, of the heart... This IS one huge family of poets...and we can even argue...meaningfully...and come back...to open arms. Home. What a nice place to be... among family. |

How precious. My best friend is 3,000+ miles away from me in Ann Arbor, and she has been more of a sister to me than the combination of my four sisters, including my twin, were. I can so relate. I wrote a poem: but not published yet...(posted) A Real Friend Is Priceless in part it goes.... a real friend is almost magical as though it were written on the wind before either of you were born. It is as if you are related, somehow, somewhere, not by genes, but by something much stronger, connected to your very souls.... ............ ..................... ......a real friend is priceless so few and far between. Thanks for reminding of a very special relationship.. nicely done Pat without surrender, be on good terms with all persons... |

Donna, this was so incredibly lovely. Your friend is fortunate to have one in you. She must have been very pleased with this. Funny thing is that, as I read this poem, I realized that this is how I felt about you and I as well. The writing of our poem "Free Spirit" drew you and I closer and so many of the sentiments that you wrote about in this poem, I feel about you and our new found friendship! Linda |
