True, pure desire is born of truth It lives only in fidelities trust It cannot lie nor cheat in deed or thought and expires at the touch of lust. Where the heart is, desire must follow Even into the depths of decadence and shame and when it dies, it leaves it’s shadow upon self-indulgent want’s wretched placed blame Wrong desires are born of deceit Deluded thoughts of bittersweet feed On spoiled love and distorted passion Leaving an empty shell of burnt out need. A heardend soul and dulled heart aches when it forgets the meaning, “all others to forsake”. **inspired by a sermon by Charles Stanley** |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Dulcinea, this is so very true, sadly and unfortunately there are many desires that fail to be sacrificed and then it only brings out the worst grief in someone, whereas true desires are those we truly feel for and will inevitably lead us to joy and justice for the heart! (kiss on cheek) This is touching, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dulcinea, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Indigo, Thank you so much! I am humbled by your response! Thank you! Lyra, it was a late night! I am so glad you stopped by, I am hoping I can spend more time reading soon and it brightens my day just to see a poem posted from you, someday I hope to add some replies, though I doubt I could keep up with Jeff! Kacy! It has been a long time! What is this I hear about you moving to Colorado? How are you doing anyhow? It is so good to see you, thank you! |

Dulcie darling heart OH My this is excellent writing really excellent. Wherever the inspiration came from you have moulded it into a beautiful confection of spun delight. It is always a pleasure to read you, you do write so perfectly. You have to know I love this utterly utterly Inside the dream to write the line The thought takes on a shape of fine And written down in smile or tear The thought is etched on pages dear The truth revealed for all to see Written in heart’s inked poetry Take not the pain without the sun In hope and love a soul’s begun To write the thought show the face To tell of heart’s limping race Within the soul the light must shine Inside the dream you write the line Thank you darling heart this is superb writing truly one of your finest Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire Thy coolness and they balm Let sense be dumb let flesh retire Speak through the earthquake wind and fire [This message has been edited by Marsha (08-21-2002 07:36 PM).] |

Dulcinea, I watch Charles Stanley every sunday morning before church. Though he is a fine preacher, he didn't say it this well. Nice poem. [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (08-22-2002 12:05 PM).] |
