Ode To Suthern

I've seen sights that have made me sigh
Some wonders that have made me cry
Of all the dreams that did come true
The one I wished for most was meeting you
I've witnessed gifts of endless charm
Learnt that truths can also disarm
I've touched the sky and raised my soul
Yet still in dreams I have this goal
To seek the one who does know me
Who speaks the truth of destiny
The one who knows me through and through
The breath of life the sword of true
The soul who knows to lead me home
When I've left the path to roam
You return me back to being me
Your words and touch set my soul free

Marsha

For you simply because you are you

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

An excellent poem to a wonderful lady, Marsha. Hopefully she will feel better and be available for the next gathering, whenever it may be.

Mushy,  good to see you back on the blue...
From all the smiling pics,  I would say that
you had a wonderful time...I know Suthern
will enjoy this from you..

I'm going to have to borrow your nickname. *S* For after reading this incredibly beautiful affirmation of friendship, I'm definitely wobbly and weepy and completely overwhelmed with gratitude... and that's a bit like mushy, isn't it? *G*

Dear lady, I thank you... so very much. *S* I'd always heard that every cloud had a silver lining... but didn't believe any good could come from the storm that had devastated my life... until I "met" you. *S* I'm so sorry the fates interfered with our face-to-face meeting... but that doesn't keep me from holding you close in my heart. *S* Thank you!!! *S*

Hi, Marsha. This poem about your friend is so sweet. You did an excellent job of describing your feelings. I hope the two of you get to meet face to face soon.
Love to all...

Would you believe I forgot to put this into my library? LOL I was busy blubbering... and my blonde brain can only handle one task at a time. *G*

Thank you again, Marsha... you're far too kind in your opinion of me... but please don't ever change. *S*

And thank you to those who responded... this gift is so special to me... as is the author. *S*

Bal: The spirit was willing but the lungs were weak... but I'll definitely meet you again one day... take that as promise or warning! LOL

Toerag: Smooch, sweets... the Fosters are cold and ready for force-feeding! LOL Just say the word... *S*

i stand, hands on hips
watching Marcia's words fill sails
of southbearing ships

I am ever in awe of how powerful
and simple words can be
when they drive like tent stakes
into the soul, anchoring our emotions.

'Deer dearest heart Suthern, I hope, knows how special she is to me, and she deserves a real writer to write the words that would serenade her soul. I however did the best I could with the words I could pinch from Keth, she used all the best ones I just found some odd ones lying around.

Toe, its true there are others like Suthern around, about one in a million, she is incredible.

Suthern beloved heart You know what I was thinking when I wrote this, if ever I get the chance, even half a chance i will come back and see you.

Everyone else Thank you muchly I would have done better but the spirit was willing the ability was lacking

Love and warm stuff
as always
