Hunting Season
By Larry Chadwick
Larry Jr. was 4 and Ginger Michelle was 8 months!

He told mom she was too loud,
That she should send her back.
Even at the age of three,
He had so little tact.

But time went by,
And there she was.
He’d had enough,
He had good cause.

So he set about,
To heckle her.
He did succeed,
In causing quite a stir.

He’d tease and prod,
Sweet little sis.
Trust me,
It wasn’t for a kiss.

Her teeth were strong,
His arm was ripe.
He screamed,
And really had a gripe.

Dad disciplined,
His little sis.
To do less,
Would be remiss.

But then one day,
I busted him.
Caught him in the act,
Not on a whim.

It was open season,
On his arm.
Now he had no choice,
He had to use his charm.

No wonder he misses her!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Now you've done it!  Gone and made me smile at the true intent and story of this lovely.  You've made me think of so many things, all rolled up in this poem, and I thank you Larry, for the bit of tear...
