Write to me in long hand
slanting upwards
brushed across the page.

Scribble quick and draw me out
leaning to the right on wings
flying higher still.

Think of me in free verse
without rhyming any words
leaving thoughts to ponder you
in captions all alone.

Starting at the end
write my wrongs and prove me right
turn the pages over and read me back again;
capture me in chapter one
after knowing what you know
reworded if you will.

Stay that way
true to form and mean it,
like I mean to
sincerely,
honest and truly
duly noted
to my muse~~~

Lori,
You know...you just keep getting better. How's life?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

enjoyed this my friend... as I usually do enjoy your work, no big surprise...but like the tone and images especially well here.

amen sister! rofl

ok, really, this is a cute, (understandable) poem, but i have been flipping through the forums for the past half hour... wondering if we could have a day of non-rhyming, just so's i could actually reply to people i like with sincerity!

just not in the mood for rhyme of late.

thanks for feeding that.

I really like the metaphor you’ve used Lori. Getting to know someone is like reading a book…getting to know them better with each chapter that unfolds, and writing them into the memory of our mind and heart.
