Take back the vision
Of your smile from my eyes
I wish my heart weren’t so foolish
I wish I could disguise

Instead I wear it plainly
All this love, so clear
And every time, you walk away
But I just want you near

I wrote these words in whisper
A hushed breath of plea
Simple anguish in wanting
(Wanting you with me)

Still there are no words in meter
No rise and fall of rhyme will do
And even though you know better
I cry, “I’m not in love with you”

Susan,
All right. What's going on here? I need some hard core romantic poetry. I'm starving!
Not that this isn't good...it's just, well you know...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Sadly perfect, as only you write of lost love.  Did I mention I'm glad you're back?

So good to see the name SEA back here.

Susan, you have been missed. Some of these readers have been going through LOVE poetry withdrawal symptoms...calling Dr. SEA?

Foolish?

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

(big hugggssssss) Oh Susan, this is so very sad, sweet friend, it too saddens me when one loves someone so very much but the other wishes not to and the other is too scared to lose it so can't help but try and hold on! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Oh, but what a lie?
Only when I want to bury my feelings will I lie to myself.
So very sad. I hope things look up for you soon.

This cry speaks to the heart and soul of loss.

Thank you.
