The wind is unforgiving As it blows along the shore The forces of Mother Nature I've seen them many time before The jetty is void of people On this wild and windy day The sky is dark and brooding The sun struggles to shine a ray The boats here in the harbour Rise and fall with the tide Their masts are well synchronized Swaying together side to side Here I am safe from the elements Inside my vehicle I keep warm As I look towards the horizon And see the approaching storm When I next come here to visit A different image I will see But never will I tire of This beauty surrounding me * * * I am in motion |

Sue: I love the ocean and this poem really catured my attention. I live inland about 350 miles, but I go to the coast every chance I have. Loved the poem! Betty Lou Hebert |

(sigh) Oh Sue, I live almost in the middle of America far from any ocean but I love it so much and dream of living near it as I always feel amazed sitting there! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
