“DREAMY GUITAR BLUES”’ by Bill Charles ~~~~ My thoughts aren’t mine tonight, as these soft chords sing out… I’m in a world somewhere else, of this there isn’t any doubt… These fingers must be magic, to play this rhythm tonight… They move all over the frets, shadows in the pale moonlight… I haven’t seen your eyes before, or hips you sway in front of me… It has to be the magic of it all, perhaps this enchanting melody… When I look at you single dancing, you are most inspiring to my muse… Then I strum softer only for you, and play this dreamy guitar blues… ~~~~ |

I enjoyed your poem....I love the blues, I was pickin' on my Taylor this weekend, then my old Martin and just bought a Larrivee that I love to play....Do you indeed "pick" or do ya just use poetry for your music? |

I've often been in "a world somewhere else" while playing my guitar. It's a "dreamy" world. Late at night, when my senses are dulled, I can be so caught up in my music, I can almost forget that I'm the one playing. Seriously, I just drift away on a sea of melody. ~ Keep playing and keep writing, those dreamy guitar blues! ~ EA |
