Bald Billy C, reached his arms to the crowd
Rolled his eyes back, into the blackness, he sang
“Tonight - so right – Tonight”
Iha and D’arcy strummed with their fingers
But I’m sure they knew it by heart

I cried and I know you did too -
Jimmy was somewhere watching us remake
The power they spun in their song
Once it was over the crowd shouted “Billy”
we were two passions mounting to one
I took your hands and placed them in mine
We said nothing - to each other we died
“I love you” gave light to the moon

“Tonight-Tonight”

Sadly, I’ve fallen to forgetting that night
surreal but now it’s so dim
The lights drop back and time rolls still
And our love never sees a new day

Wow! Powerful piece!! Nice one!

"And 'I love you' gave light to the moon"

My favorite line. So romantic!

Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken!?

Isn't always the way with great gigs, like all memories they fade, I like the way the story of the concert is intertwined with a personal relationship.

"we'll crucify the insincere"

good poem Walt.
