Clocks, lately
I’ve noticed
none tell the same time
so I am always
gaining here, losing there

it has occurred to me
to synchronize

but then…
I might really know
what time it is

and I wouldn’t have a clue
what to do with the knowledge

I LOVE THIS.

I tend to tell time by watching shadows on the wall...

This runs deeper than the literal. Smile--and my reply tends to apply to both as well!

Time is relative….it goes relatively too quick for my liking….says she who’s going to be late for work if she doesn’t spend her time more wisely by getting in the shower!! Lol

shades of Chicago's hit song...you pen the relevency of time and truth into a verse to let us ponder again does it matter...and if it does, what would we do with the knowledge.

Enjoyed my friend... but then I always enjoy your words.

Duncan - just think, if you loose some one day, and then gain the next, one is just about even. It all works out...

Gee Duncan..you reminded me that it soon
will be time to change the clocks again..
Maybe I'll leave a few this fall...
that way I won't get so depressed when it gets dark so early...
Good write!

(sigh) Oh Duncan, these are such wonderful thoughts, sweet friend, it too is almost daylight savings and I am not quite prepared for it either and would ather adjust it by what time it really feels like, this is touching, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

ROFL - I was just coming back to say thanks for getting the song stuck in my head all day, and ROn's already mentioned it.

As Darius sang, "Time, why you punish me?"
I always take time to read your musings. And no, it isn't for punishment. LOL.

D You're so philosophical time can be our friend and our worse enemy...every minute counts...so much to tell about time...I love the thoughts in your poem.

O.K. Time out Duncan,

Time and time again I've told you that I love your poems. (especially this one, very kool)

Time is on my side said Nick Jagger. What do you think he did with all that knowledge??Still crazy after all these years

I like this, simple, true, perfect.

I have 6 clocks in my house and none of them tell the same time.
I am always guessing.
