Iniquity

Sheathed, her wistful soul weeps
Desperate for a hearts resolve
Aching for what’s in minds-eye
Images she bids to evolve

With chance as her only promise
And a moment her only assist
She grasps for what she sees
But cannot reach in the midst

Paralyzed with heavy aberration
Hopelessness takes its aim
So deep with in her dreams
It stakes its devastating claim

Sorely she drinks her anguish
Accepts the poison she’s bestowed
And in the belly of torment
Her misery slowly erodes

Blinded from iniquity that looms
Deafened by her silent cries
And still her only comfort
Found behind forbidden eyes

WOW!! Your muse was really with you here.

The imagery your words invokes strikes deep...very moving, haunting & sad. I can feel her despair & torment.

It would seem that your muse has found you my friend.

Thank you.

A good write. We must take our chances and reach for that which we find alluring and feel enchanting. Sometimes though we pull back one less digit.

Ah, but you have been reaching deeply.
I'm enjoying your new musings.

I'm thrilled you especially like this one!
Not sure if I am writing of me though ....
Many thanks to you Bill.

Oh so very true Sir!
Then again, better to lose a digit than to never take a chance?
Thank you!

Reaching deeply for that new muse!
I think I'll keep her, she seems to have proven herself well!
I'm glad you enjoyed.

Again, many thank to each and every one of you!

I found your title interesting so I opened it. I'm not really sure what the meaning is with this poem but I can tell that there is a lot of pain. What ever it is, i felt this was a good poem, even though it's sad. I hope that you will be writing something of cheer, from personal feelings, very, very soon.
