Once upon a fairytale
now become this poetic story
There lived somewhere a lady fair
who dreamed of love’s true glory
She lived in a darkened stone castle
built so bleak and tall
Waiting for her knight to come
to climb up fortress wall
Upon countless months of wistful moon
so golden glow and bright
She stood holding out a candle,
watching for him each night
Gazing out so dreamily
into the misty, dusk and dark
As each night she made a wish
upon each new falling star
As story’s told, many a man came and went,
as time began to pass
Yet, all so lacked in courage
that naught even a one could last
Sought she; knight of strength and boldness
such a challenge to be climbed
The treasure of this damsel’s love,
this knight would surely find
Upon changing of the seasons,
.the princess knelt and prayed
As she kept her love light burning
to guide the knight, his way
Now,upon one brisk Spring morning
bright and shining was the sun
Forth walking on the forest path
there appeared, a knight, just one
Fearless of this formidable castle
and the tower that he viewed
Queried a shout, he calling out
"Will your love be forever true?"
She cast to him her promised word
that fell to him on ground
He knew this was his true love
now, destined to be found

Gripping tightly, cold,jagged stones
superior in height
He vowed to claim his glory
as he took each step to flight
Enduring to beat the struggle
now of his grueling quest
Awaiting him a tender place
for his weary heart to rest

The challenge now, conquered
she knew her prince, he'd be
There, stood his lovely princess,
so beautiful to see
Not just of looks or comely shape
but her golden heart so fair
And as they embraced, he whispered
I've looked for You everywhere
While this is just a fanciful tale
written from a poet, just for you
Anyone can tell a fairytale
but destiny makes real dreams come true.

Keep Dreamin’..........

Poetry is:
Passion, imagination and intellect running together.

CSK, this is so beautiful.  I believe fairy tales can and do come true.  But most times we don't wait long enough to find the real happiness we seek and take what is handy.  Good work,  ME
