I See You

When I looked into your eyes,
I saw things you didn’t show anyone else.
I saw the fear of judgement,
That made your indecisiveness.
I saw the fear of the future,
And the uncertainties it may bring.
I saw the loneliness you felt,
And the need for security and companionship.
I saw the face of confidence put on,
To conceal the insecurities hidden beneath.
I saw that desperate need to be loved,
And the fear of being unwanted.
And I saw the real you,
The you that I could feel part of,
That was mine to treasure,
For as long as we may last.

I enjoyed your poem. Sometimes is so wonderful knowing someone that well. You can help heal the heart and share in the joys. By the way welcome.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. I feel this is the best of my poetry, the rest needs lots of improvement. I guess i just have to keep trying. Its nice to be greeted with such a warm welcome. Ems x-x-x
