Wings beat down the shallow breath, The caress of time against shallow waves, Patience stifled the abyss of suffering, As he languidly rolled into slumber. Winds blew against the coherent state, Weathering a pattern if ill fated storms, sunlight filtered across ebony lashes as time continued its slow waltz.. Casting aside the course of ancients, awakening a dawn of knowledge, Ascending through the clouds of emotions, cast adrift in a sea of thoughts. A single rose withered and crumbled, as another life departed the realms, a single tear rolled down cheeks of satin, as she closed the doors to her heart. Moonlight danced upon the epitaph, as fingers slender and cold did trace, sworn vows of the heart to be finished, as silent tears rolled down her face. A love be lost, but not forgotten, as sands of time, through fingers, drain, belonging to no one other then he, her tears vanished within the rain. |

Haunting and beautiful in the same breath, a stunning poem. Too early for the rainbow, too early for the dove These are the final days, this is the darkness, this is the flood |

I just couldn't let this thing of haunting and fragile beauty, drift away into the back pages, without giving others the chance to experience it. You can just flat out write, lady. ~Ed |

Not sure why, but this makes me picture a cold and rainy scene, in a graveyard by the seaside. I feel the haunting of the ghosts of love in this. You can never win or lose |

dear WhileIWasGone, your imagery and choice of words is brilliant, as usual. Annie! "Oh, do not ask, 'What is it?' |
