    It Rained

To-day it rained.

Like the skies had
opened up their patio doors
and persuaded heaven's tears
to join in matrimony
with the salty droplets
that refused to cease
spilling from my dispirited eyes.
The bloated, offending clouds
dried up with envy
of this surreal union,
and a blazing sun appeared
just long enough
to paint a rainbow
with the fervent colours
flowing like ribbons
from my melting heart.

To-day it rained.

The rain always brings growth, of some kind.

Thank you.

(smiles) Yay!!! Oh Chris, I love storms and I especially love the rainbows after them, last week my sister and I saw a beautiful double rainbow arched right before us and it felt like we were standing right under the middle of it, it was breathtaking! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Chris, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Lovely imagery here.  I love the thought of rainbows are ribbons.  That's a very pretty thought.

It's easy to just fly through this poem and say "Aw, how nice."

But there's a nice little bite underneath it, which I really like. Crying in the rain to-day.

ctowen - yes, it is refreshing and out of our control as it is at this very moment here in Southwestern Ontario. Just coming down like cats and dogs as they say.
I am grateful for your comments.

Absolutely wonderful imagery Chris! This was a delightful read ... great visuals, much enjoyed. I think you're living in my neck of the woods (Southern Ontario), lol ... we've been so dry, and the rain has been just a blessing since last night. What a wonderful sight and feeling it's been!  Really enjoyed this!

Best wishes,
/Kit

mycafe - thankyou for enjoying this.

Krish - thankyou -  this wasn't a dream of sorts.....rather thoughts and feelings that day - which probably could make one dream.
