They cast their spells of fire and ice,
Wind and rain when they roll the dice.

Lightning streaks across the sky.
Thunder rumbles as they die.

Each with an element to guide and defend,
Never knowing when it may end.

Each mage's power, when his time arrives,
Will double the others' strength as they survive.

It seems their might is increased by each mind.
What power do they wield? What will they find?

It seems that they search merely for a stone,
A mere rock? As rare as a bone!

These wizards and sorcerers, necromancers and mages,
Looking through their spells and pages.

Are they all mad? Is this fear?
What is it that drives them to gather here?

Such power they hold in merely a hand,
A power to wreak havoc on the land!

Yet instead they use it only to live,
Such power they use and are willing to give!

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

Doubling their power!
Well, now that’s a good reason not to let them gather, besides they seldom bring any good drink with them.
But I liked the poem

Actually, what they do with the power is what you judge by. And thanks for the kudos.

This sounds like the beginning of a really good fantasy tale.  I like the thunder and the lightning, and the power.
