Famished Hopes sweet yesterdays melted slowly like scattered dust in rain gentle images of heroic moments forgotten songs now slain and I wonder whose unfaced martyr held an apocalyptic sword For He who struck the boldest was He who was first bored. They still spin in endless circles the vultures of past mimes Starved and perishing slowly unable to devour time. When all along, answers were held muted thus, when heroes were felled Happiness always breeds half-thirst when drank from glasses half-empty so parched is the drowning soul (C) 2002 Picasso Lyrics [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (09-18-2002 07:22 PM).] |

![]() ![]() ![]() (sad sigh) Sometimes it feels that nothing is good enough for those who drink joy with the glass half-empty and believe they found it amongst serendipity when it is all inside themselves! (big hugggsssss) This is very well-said, sweet friend, my heart goes out to them all and I wish for true joy to find their way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Jeff darling heart and writer of the promise that is held within the breezes sigh, so often your writing touches the truth and clothes the mystery of life in words that reveal them for all to see. In this beautiful rhyme of life you have dressed the thoughts of soul in garments of glowing light. You’ve breathed your life into them and the poem lives and breathes in the readers soul. How you do what you do so well and apparently effortlessly I do not know, what I do know is if there ever came a day where your words didn’t affect me I would know I no longer lived. And the aching sorrow within this affects me so deeply. This is beautiful writing at its lyrical best, as always perfect do I love it of course I do it is utterly utterly utterly perfect. In your writing I see a soul’s release Which floats the stream of life in peace The touch of you in such thoughtful care The knowledge that you know and share Within your writing I feel the calm Of a life touched with delights balm Washed in light of your poetic dream My soul is refreshed in your stream And I lifted through a cloud of doubt Find in your poem the way out All this is created by your write The way of truth and soul’s delight If not for your writing I would be Lost to light and uncertainty Wonderful writing darling heart absolutely wonderful, oh how I’ve missed you. Don’t forget me while I’m away darling man. Give my love to Dulcie, and kiss dear Batman for me. And you are ever in my thoughts and prayers I am so blessed to have you as a friend. Love to all there As always Mushy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Breathe through the heat of our desire Thy coolness and they balm Let sense be dumb let flesh retire Speak through the earthquake wind and fire [This message has been edited by Marsha (09-18-2002 07:19 PM).] |

Noah Bear: it was exactly as you said, that spurred me to write of optimism vs. pessimism. Not too much can be accomplished in life with negativity (escape a few math equations ~nudge nudge~) Cool interp ol' ami! Got some catchin' up to do here! thanks for the words of wisdom. Jeff |

This is so beautifully written, Jeff... It reminds me of how everything looks purer and more beautiful in memories... probably more beautiful than it really was at the time. Maybe there is more innocence to things when we remember them than when they actually happen or maybe we just forget the bad part and remember the good... I really loved your poem. ![]() Lyra |

Jeff, he who has peace can conquer the world. He who does not, struggles to conquer that which he does not know or understand... Nicely done my friend... |
