You can only marry in the lord That means you can't marry Outside your faith But my question is What if nobody in your faith likes you? I am dating somebody not of my faith I amd a Jehovah's Witness If I decide to marry him I could be reproved Or even disfellowshipped When you disfellowshipped That means your ousted from the congregation But right now I don't even care Because I love him so I think that is just a stupid rule But other people like to follow it But it doesn't mean I have to Cold hands means a warm heart |

I applaud you for taking such personal issues into open--but the best I can do is offer applause for bravery? the rest? is entirely up to you. |

Some day, someone will have to explain to me, why, if someone wants to worship the lord in another "faith", then why not. It would be much worse to turn one's back on Him altogether... and I do not think that is what He intended... I wish you luck, with all of His blessings... |

Too true. Thing is, it's your life, not theirs. What is life without poetry and adventure? |

(sigh) Yes, it is all up to you, for I truly believe marrying someone that may be out of your faith is wonderful as long as both truly love each other, for truly all faiths have something in common and as long as we stay loyal to Him most of all and not a faith you can never go wrong! (sigh) This is a powerful contemplative poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Here's a question for you... If the Lord IS Love, how can Love be wrong? My answer... it cannot. My step-mother was excommunicated from the Catholic church for marrying my father, who was raised Protestant, and guess what??!! They are both active evangelistic ministers with more love in their hearts than any denominatinal minister(preacher, priest or whatever you call them in whatever religion) than any I have ever met. Keep in mind that the CHURCH does not MAKE the religion..it's the religion(or really the faith) that makes the CHURCH. Bravo to you for your courage and conviction in this. The Lord works in mysterious ways.. Peace, love, light and happiness Tammy |

We all disagree with our churches because reality is they are run by humans who make mistakes. HOWEVER OUR RELIGION (whatever u believe in as a person) AS A WHOLE carries the true message. All the rules are not God sent for if this were true we all would be doomed. thomas You can call me the Rogue LOL |

I don't much care for some of the "rules" organized religion expects us to follow. Many times they're nothing more than rules made by men, not by God. The Lord knows my heart and that's all that truly matters, in my opinion. |

I know it has something to do with the fear that if you date someone that is not your religion they will take you away from the church...or if they are a Catholic they might try to convince you to be a Catholic or whatever other religion they are...the final choice is always yours...James |
