Reunions of the Temporary

say no more
reach not for me
for what was,
has been brushed off
as easily as it had once
attached itself

mistaken identities
in the cover of darkness,
transparent as the silk
that adorns this body,
sways me no more
as delusions take over

reunions of the temporary
drug the spirit of my giving
precious are the words
though few
as I await
the impossible
my life... amateurism
at its best.

I enjoyed this. I love the title - definately my favorite line.

RSWells ...yes I don't think I will ever get it right..whatever that means

C..I think maybe my whole life before was delusional and  the real is what I am  learning to accept. Thank you for the fun you give me in  responding back and forth,

hugssss my friend ( shame you can't stop in next week when so many of us will be in Tampa)

I.... for awhile there I thought you and Ron were one and the same..but I don't think he's  as tall is he? I always want to respond in a senryu to you  but  my  thoughts have too many syllables

I am happier most of the time than my poetry lets on...so don't worry, I am quite resilient.
