Closed doors greet me at every turn As I roam dark corridors I've lost the keys to open them --Locked rooms forever more There was a time, when I'd fret not For I knew that I'd prevail That I could open any door --My keys would never fail But as the years sped quickly by Those keys began to rust I hadn't taken care of them And they returned to dust The winds of fame and fortune They blew my keys away I'd lost all sight of Godly things And saw no need to pray One by one the keys were gone As I went my selfish ways Door by door was slamming shut --Lost rooms of sun-filled days Now I roam the endless halls Of this House of Cards on earth No more shall I enjoy those rooms Until my death--my birth |

 (big hugggssssss) Oh Linda, this is so very sad, sweet friend, it saddens me to see so many now lose their innocence when they are so young by cruel misunderstood others and give up all hope of unlocking the doors to their dreams! (wipes tears) I hope this thought is all behind now and you approach your dreams with hope, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! Noah, I draw on painful experiences in my life to stretch myself as a writer. It's amazing what you can find when you dig deep. I'm actually rather an upbeat Pollyanna sort of individual. Some of my friends refer to me as Molly (Unsinkable Molly Brown). I guess you'd have to say I'm a "Polly-Molly" tee-hee. So, thank you for your concern. This 'angel' still has her head above the clouds and can handle whatever comes her way. Linda |

Linda, The poem builds and builds decks and decks and ... doesn't collapse, just ... turns itself upside down and inside-out, still standing. In awe. Mikey Here's a haiku response: Plastic edges stacked to form a house of ponder. Gravity's hard kiss. |
