Beethoven
What a man you were
Independent
Strong and sure

Your melodies
Your life was song
But in this world
You didn’t belong

You heard the song
In the wind
In the trees
You heard the songs
In the brooks and the breeze

You wrote the things
That no man could
You endured the pain
That no man should

Your great ears
Began to dim
And you withdrew…

To the music within

You found that ‘twas not what you heard
But what was within that helped you endure

Beethoven
What a melody
And what hope
You give to me…

Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us.

Yay!!! Awwwwwww, I have missed your beautiful words so so much, I love Beethoven so much and though my heart goes out to him and the challenges he faced with hearing and his emotions, he is a remarkable man and genius of music! (kiss on cheek) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Erica, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

"Roll Over Beethoven"---the LoveBug is here!
You did this so well! I truly enjoyed it! Please write more poems on classic composers----Mozart, Chaupin, Debussy, Elvis Presley (no, Noah already did the king! tee-hee!)
