It Takes Time

All the times you and i were friends now we drift apart
Standing here beside the bus depot in the rain
Hopping aboard a Greyhound to get you out of myself
but it takes time to heal the pain

when they aren't going well
how can I say when they ever do?
now when time is here
I have half a mind to be where I used to be too

Placed my bets and reasons on a roulette rack
for us to understand why we drift apart
now here i am thinking back at the times
we shouldn't get apart

Seems it could have been much easier in the first place
but now we know it takes time too
And the times are changing fast without a trace...
And I'm thinking about the past too, adieu...

Whenever i see your face in my dreams
i think i should take time and patience
just cash in these chips, so I can deal another hand
Under this marquee my heart is bleeding this instant

I've made up my mind
Tomorrow I'm leaving for good
Tomorrow is coming too soon
It takes time
But I dare not think about this time
I don't think I ever could...
