     Welling,
          behind open eyes
             waiting to release

   Swelling,
        riding coming tides
           for its thoughts to cease

               Burning,
                    with each gasp for air
                       to soothe sudden fire

        Yearning,
             a moment to share
                this, a tear's desire

create an addiction .... share a smile!!

ctowen - Enjoyed this "tearful" piece very much. Chris

The last stanza says so much...
love is an emotion that weeps and leaves so much to be desired~~ works both ways I guess.  I liked the way you balanced the swell and 'wrote' it out.

You're always a good read and a fine writer Craig~

This was so well done---and the presentation of your thoughts on the page was very effective---drawing the reader in---and down.
