I ask myself in moment of digress
a time of weakness more or less
why though the time is very late
I stay entombed within your hate.

Escape was once my soulful pledge
taking me close to the edge
why not take the step alone
away from your self-righteous drone.

Is this sickness mine instead
am I drawn into your sense of dread
beautiful in your depressive scorn
upon my back the lashes worn.

Tattooed pain I wear with pride
diseased I live afloat your chide
absorbing pieces of distant love
martyred by each perfect shove.

Why not take flight from this hell
my words, weak utters, I do tell
there's beauty in this prison cell
you play the wounded so damn well.

Thank you so much for your responses. I've been having a heck of time with pip these days. I can only post one message at a time then it refuses to let me back in. If I see the "the page cannot be displayed" message one more time I am going to scream!!
