Cowboys Never Cry

An old ringer told me
why cowboys never cry.
"They'll never break their hearts
if they don't say goodbye."

"Never love a cowboy
cause they're a breed apart.
Although you're in his arms,
you're not quite in his heart."

"When loving gets too tough
they're on their horse and gone,
leaving some poor cowgirl
sitting alone to mourn."

With apologies to all our resident cowboys

Dee - But it sure is fun having a cowboy around till they ride off into the sunset!!   Enjoyed. Chris

(big hugggssssss) Oh Dee, I understand these feelings ever so much, though I know how it truly must ache cowboys hearts inside though and especially their sweethearts when the time comes to let go! (sigh) This is sensitive and heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dee, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Those cowboys can be tough.
But why are their pillows sometimes wet in the morning?

Hey there girl........so nice to see you posting again.  Sorry for my absence lately but life has a way of doing that sometimes.  No apologies needed on the poem.  Your words have much truth to them but hey.......we are what we are and believe it or not, some don't ride away.  Or so I am told lol.

Dee,  tis true of the tough and ruff....and
tis true of the ones who fight wars...who
sometimes love and leave....carrying their
feelings with them...seldom sharing their
inner tenderness...

White rose, I think you just might be right. (if the cowboys I know are anything to go by)

Midnitesun, hmmm good question \

Smartchick, don't feel too sad, I think it was just that ringer who thought that way.

Sunshine, I have an idea we might just know another one

Mark, one of my favourite cowboys. I haven't been here a lot lately either, much to my disappointment. I'm glad you spared a little time to read something of mine.

Magnus, methinks the rough and the tough just don't show what they really do feel.

Thanks all,
Dee
