…Man & Woman … I, a Woman and you, a Man Love as One, yet we are Two… Humans both, we differ in View ~ I am man, born of woman..born of man.. Born that I might protect and cherish you.. As waters fall to distant seas... As mountains hold the whitest pure snow.. I shall hold you, this my love, I know... Crests align with Counterpoint ~ with differing oils we anoint.. You are Bold where I feel Shy yet I tread where you fear to try… I’m more Soft and you’re more Firm but strength is in me and gentleness in you.. Tender emotions at my surface lie ~ they burrow in you while tougher ones fly.. Though fears overcome me, you comfort. Though anger resides in me, you accept. Life with you a treasure, Woman....I love, I breath for you, the essence of you... You are my life's beacon, guiding light.. Your talk is pointed, mine soft-edged ~ Misperceptions can get wedged, Confusion may rain about our heads… But to understanding we’re both pledged. Those whispers, come to me in dreams waking me even as I sleep...remembering.. Feeling the sadness of misunderstand... The moments when we should not.. Our Two Perspectives are required Tempered, each by its Opposite… Both have assets much desired ~ Conjoined they form a Composite. I swore to take you, to love you, comfort and keep you. To tell you, tell you again and....yet again.... that I will... For, without you, I am alone, lost, walking an endless desert.. Half of me a missing soul.. Man without Woman…how fare you? “Sad and lonely ~ what to do!” Woman sans Man, where are you? Afloat, unmoored ~ drifting…. Toward You. When...when all is as it should be, when gentle rains fall upon the plains of our hearts. When birds sing songs in Spring....When I sit, reflecting..When I feel whole... Then... I smile, I lie there...I watch the beauty of the rise of your life within you, each breath.. The flutter of your eyes, the moistness of wine's lips.. and more... Incomplete without the other Man wants Woman, and Woman, Man. Each a Compass to the other’s Soul We’re both needed to make life whole. Yes, see that within my eyes, in the steady beat of a heart once torn.... The warmth of flesh that yearns, hungers, desires every sense of the touch, taste... the fragrance as you lie beside me... This Vision Bright is what I see ~ Together we live on Earth’s vibrant shore… Our Hands reach out across the Sea ~ In Love and Peace let is each adore. And...as the touch of finger's tips join, so shall the hearts, conviction and love that grows....never fades... For I am man.... And you...my love...are why I have life.. Barry, what can I say? Tonight you were the magician! Your pen the magic wand... Our short piece almost ended up a novel... but I want to say how humbled I am at your asking me to write this with you... It is always an honor to dance down the pages of blue with you. Marti and Paul Nancy gets most of the credit....I hounded her to death to write with me...and 'Poof' up out of the hat comes the magician.... She writes beautiful poetry....always... All of the ladies have over the past few days.... They each have their own unique style....but very beautiful and worthy of the praise that each has received... |
