it takes a fall to rise again my treasured hope to but ascend and shelter flame of soul within. as I walk step in blind of blink a footfall in the sand of sink the journey of the fool on brink to be so blind eyes open wide may all my doubt be cast aside that as I fall, grow wings to fly! flailing feet to rise in air bereft of net, and freed of care-- Ascend to find me waiting there. to leave familiar comfort's grave- perhaps the pawn CAN take the knave and cease remorseless un-named crave. and sate my longing to be home. (not my best, Mikey, but ya reminded me that I'd done a few of these) |

Sen, Not one of your best, hm? Then would you care to explain how you take something as complex in meaning as the fool's ascension (to a higher level of starting over at fool-dom again), and lay it out so neatly, poetic, and with edge, that I'm left grappling for things to say. So taken aback by this that I can't think in my succinct "line form" responses? DAMN THIS IS GOOD STUFF! And this poem truly IS the fool's journey. ..."it takes a fall to rise again" This particular line means so much to me, that I will never forget it----or the poetess who wrote it!!! Thank you! And another "thank you" to Mr. Squirrel---- he's got good taste in nuts! tee-hee! Earth Angel |
