"Not From Out, but From Within"

two crippled fingers of God
twin amputee smokestacks
collapsing under inflicted sin's weight
were indelibly etched visions of pain
any healing, a year later, slow coming

I can’t focus today at work
a heavy netting, wet with remembrance around my heart
constricting and strangling
and I know millions of Americans feel it, also.

from a Titan's breath of iniquity:
the lambs of valiance on Flight 93
rescuers that needed rescuing
healers that themselves needed healing
the three-thousand candles of life
gone

It was 20 degrees cooler today
inexplicably
after weeks of searing heat
and I stood outside – shivering
not of the chill from out
but from the chill within.

I've been shivering all day, unable to focus on anything.  Very well written.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Jeff, it has been the same here today, at college everything seemed so slow to me, even my Environment and Culture professor stuttered at times trying not to cry in his lecture, and I can't blame him, because on the bus I cried to myself and it too feels so much cooler out than just 24 hours ago! (big hugggsssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, my houghts are with you and all of America this day, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Now I know, Jeff... why I haven't been able to focus all day today...
I thought it was the pain meds, but I think its the day.
Thanks for sharing this important piece with us.
