I've always called the aurora borealis my Rainbow Dancing Lights. But at midnight on September 11, 2001, the aurora was monochromatic, a pale green, short-lived dancing wave accompanied by thousands of stars in a cold clear sky of midnight blue. And the dancing lights took on a different hue. They suddenly became a pale Rainbow of Hearts. The stars were the souls of lost innocents, and the aurora was their wave goodbye. As I stood in awe, in shock and pain, all I could ask was, "Why?" And I heard the weeping 'round the world from the loved ones left behind, and the souls that burned brightly in the sky were also asking "Why?" No answers came though I looked to the sky each night and asked God "Why?" Now when I look at the twinkling stars and the dancing northern lights I cry my silent goodbye. But still I look to the sky and ask that same question "Why?" Will there ever be a reply? Sept 11, 2002 And still no reply that will satisfy or comfort the hearts of all those who lost a loved one, and no comfort for the rest of us who can only stand and say goodbye as we shake our heads and wonder why we cannot all just live in Peace on this tiny globe we call home. |

I would say that the reply would be, "Peace". Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |

![]() (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kacy, I too always say "Why?", I don't understand how anyone could be capable of such a horrible thing to so many people, and I guess all I can say is to hesitantly accept this as I send prayers and compassionate hugs to all the victims families that never deserved to go through any of this! (wipes tears) God Bless You, sweet friend, you shed aurora borealis of faith across these pages, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you!
