The roar of an engine Overhead Still fills my heart with Hidden dread Silently weeping for those We lost Praying for families who paid Freedoms cost A year it has been since the shock Of it all But like yesterdays memories we All can recall The unbelievable event watching hate Turn to action In the end neither side will Have satisfaction I stand as a women, child, mother An American And I say I will never forget United we stand to not let this happen again... There is so much to say about this tragedy that affected every one of us in the USA..... And yet no words ( of mine) come close to the pain or resolve Sept. 11, 2001 brought out in us, me. As I said on the day, one year ago, that it took place.... I am glad I'm not in charge... |

That day left many wondering who really is in charge. In the end, we must each stay in charge of our feelings, our actions and our reactions, and try to find a way to end the insane madness of world violence. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Connie, I too can't believe this ever happened and my heart still grieves like it happened a few hours ago, hoping never again this will happen, never again will we take trust in God for granted like before, never again. (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all of America, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Connie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton (God Bless America) "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Unity through compassion and understanding is what we need to see us through these troubling times. |

Excellent write, my dear!!! 911 changed us all. Resolve, anger, sadness beyond description, almost to the point of being parlysed with fear of the next time....and all the while a nation struggles to it's knees first and next to its feet to charge ahead swearing "NEVER AGAIN!!!" No one can say that as a nation your reaction was unwarrented or unnecessary.... even today. Sherry |
