I am writing a poem And he interrupts I have to help with his dinner Dear lord I hope I don't lose this thought I microwave his pitas Cook his soup I still got my thoughts But they are starting to fade Dad leave me alone Let me write my poem My thoughts are starting to fade No you must finish helping me Your poems aren't so important You can write others I still try to keep the thought Do as my Dad says I finally get finished And my thoughts are gone Oh darn Cold hands means a warm heart |

If you lost them, it looks like you got some others to replace them... This is a cute true to life poem... Thanks for the read, Julie... ~ lots of hugs Lyra |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Julie, again I am so sorry you are having difficulties getting along with your parents, they can indeed be so overprotective but hopefully they can learn to understand how important poetry is to you and can at least let you finish! (sigh) This is well-expressed, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I have thought about getting a small tape recorder and carrying it with me to record my thoughts when I'm not able to write them down. This might be a good idea for you to try...Paul |
