A Prayer In Earnest

Albrecht Durer's "The Praying Hands"

I have no extra special words
no fancy tribute shall I write
rather I’ll say a prayer of thanks
for the men and women that still fight.

When I am praying this prayer
I’ll ask for all terrorism to cease
and for help to stop the madness
with a special request for world peace.

I’ll ask the Lord to gently hold us
with his tender loving hands
and to lead us with his wisdom
that we all might love our fellow man.

A prayer, that they not be forgotten
the unsung heroes who gave their all
those who were among the innocent
or defending us, that we might not fall.

Please bless the families left behind
my prayer, Lord please help them understand
let them know their loved ones are remembered
and that they are now held in Angels hands.

I’ll then pray for everyone to join the circle
the circle of peace that encompasses all
and this prayer, I’ll pray in earnest
Lord please guide us when upon your name we call.

May God hold
America in his hands.

Thank you Karilea, for the "graphics inspire"

Donna, what you've done here was within you all the time.  May we all join hands, whether in reality, or virtually through cyberspace, and be a Nation again.

A lovely blessing, Donna... That was a totally horrible time, but I am so grateful that my son, Victor....who was supposed to have been at a meeting at Cantor Fitzgerald at the World Trade Center that morning,  got a phone call the afternoon before... telling him that he didn't need to be there...
It must have been an angel who made that call.

May we all join hands in the circle, and may for this day and thereafter we all feel a sense of peace.  Peace and love to all,
with my sincerest wishes for all to share a moment of remembrance.  God bless....

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...
