No longer is she a baby 'tho still Daddy's little girl With a smile so infectious Sending hearts into a whirl We all look back in wonder How beautiful you have grown You've touched all of our lives Many seeds of love you've sown We now gather round to celebrate This day when you turn one And look back with much fondness As we see how far you've come Your parents are so devoted Their hearts so warm and true As we send our hugs and kisses And all our love to you * * * * I wrote this for my friends Katie & Jarrod. Their daughter, Olivia will turn one tomorrow and I plan to give them this poem as a gift. Katie and Jarrod have a treasure of a "friend", in you! What a lovely, and timeless, gift to give them on the first anniversary of their daughter's birth. Happy birthday Olivia! Earth Angel |

Dear Sue, This is a great poem, thank you for sharing it with all of us. I never knew my dad, and I have a poem I wrote about it, it is called "Why?" if you would like to read it. Thank you again for sharing and I liked the picture that you put with your poem that is so cool. Andrea |
