A tropical storm Starts to rear its ugly head As the coast It starts to pound The squalls start coming on shore The rain starts pouring down The waves get huge And wash away the beach slowly but surely It moves inland Causing destruction in its wake The winds topple trees And damage houses The power is knocked out People are in darkness Lighting their candles As they hear the wind howl By morning the storm is gone But the destruction it caused Is still left behind The people start to clean And put their lives back together The best they can Cold hands means a warm heart |

I have a friend who just left for Florida today....is this the kind of weather she's in for? Oh my goodness...what a vacation! Poor thing...and the wedding is supposed to be held outside. I can't wait to see the pictures... |

Now that's a harsh storm. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
