Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-09-04 09:48 PM

Slipping In……………….

May I slip in?

Just to read?

May I sigh
quietly
at this compassion
you call
poetry?

May I slip in?

Just to feel?

Hear the heartstring
song
so real…

May I slip out?

So silently
and take my
tears away,
you see,
for you have
touched the heart
of me
when I silently
slipped in
to read
you.

A day can come
so quietly
a dream

and your words
may come
so serene

bringing music
to wind my soul

was that

your goal?

You did it,
just so.

May I slip back in
to your embrace?
Softly now
and with grace
may I lay a finger
to your face
to trace
a lip,

a brow

for you have touched
me vast

somehow

Then

I shall slip away
and take with me
all you say
and keep it here…

privately…

just your words

embracing me.

When next
I slip in to read
know please sir
that I am smiling
most pleasantly

when I rest
my eyes on
you.

Karilea, Karilea, Karilea...exactly!  But, I could never have said it so beautifully.  I'd pick a favourite line, verse..but, every word is integral in the applause

Every poet at passions should deem this a keeper!   I just love this~

Take care,

This is wonderful, Karilea. I do this alot of times, too. Just quietly slip in and read a few poems. I do try to reply also. Sometimes I have to come back.

Karilea, how many times I have quietly slipped in during the night and just feasted on the wonder of the poetry here. Then I will come back in the morning and comment.

I love to read the words and let them settle in.

This was wonderful writing...Marti

Karilea - Your words are wonderful as always. I will "slip" away to dreamland now still thinking of this poem - thankyou. Chris

Yes M'lady
you may slip
into the soul
that shines
from the bright
of all you are.

And as you
once more slip
into the set
of our Sun,
slip silently
and softly
over my
heart...

Yep, do it almost every night.  I like how quiet it is here around 2:AM.  It's like having a whole library of poetry all to myself.

So silently
and take my
tears away,
you see,
for you have
touched the heart
of me
when I silently
slipped in
to read
you.

A day can come
so quietly
a dream

and your words
may come
so serene

bringing music
to wind my soul

===========================

Well your title is appropriate for me these days...my "slipping" time is so limited ...
but whatever time found..there is always magic here...
love the way you wove this and carried the reader along with your expressions...
So glad I slipped in and sipped your serene

Good poet friends...every once in a while, we do find ourselves writing a close-to-the-heart kind of poem...the kind that we like to share with our kin of spirit...and you are all that kin of my spirit...thank you so very much for enjoying this one with me...

Karilea, I am so pleased that I "slipped in" to read this poem that you so diligently wrote. It reflects my feelings exactly!---altho' you expressed it far better than I could!

You, dear poetess, are one who writes of, and with, "compassion". You play the "heartstring song". You "bring(ing) music to wind my soul".  Your words "embrace" with "grace".

Oh Kariliea, this is just wonderful. It is my favorite thing to do here at Passions. Slip in read something and quietly slip out and spend the day thinking about the words.

Thank you for writing so eloquently and expressing thoughts I so often cannot.

Hugs, Marti
