Life's Journey Distant geography Different topography And yet... The same highs and lows One minute laughter The next one.. disaster What follows thereafter?? Why..nobody knows For every peak reached There's a valley below For each distance traveled There's still more to go Whenever we think that The end has been reached Another path opens.. Another wall breached So it begins.... And so shall it end.... The high ground is often Too hard to defend Each valley traversed Each river crossed Leads to a place Where all is not lost... Life is a journey With death but an end Have you learned your lesson?? Keep traveling my friend.... |

Tammy...I really enjoyed this. I think this may be the first time I have read any of your poems, but I promise you it won't be the last...Paul |

it is there, barely seen by light of a torch suspended in black as night draws last breath a dimly lit path, that must be the way like a moon in a cloud, submersed in soft death what journey is this? that has no guide where End is a mission of differing length for every man, must somehow find his way and reach soul's end, before losing all strength. Enjoyed thoroughly, Ms. Blessing. You are one. A blessing that is. theShadowRider [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (09-03-2002 10:54 PM).] |
