Through the Looking Glass

I have seen the rest of my life.
It wraps around me for a moment,
Showing me a piece of who I will be.
It comes to me when I watch birds flying;
When I walk past antiquated shops and strangers.
I feel it in the sunset while I drive,
And in the crunch of leaves under the soles of my feet.
It's a tomorrow that forever waits for me,
Beckoning me to come.
And I acquisitively strive towards it,
To the claim of being One.

Oh yea.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

a titillating piece, for certain

I'm curious as to the entity of the One you mean, like one with something or someone or One as a whole person, fully who you were created for.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

The peace and serenity that we all seek will come, all in good time.  May God's grace shine upon you in all that you do, and remember to smile every now and then.

Alice,
I like this piece and the way it pulls one into tomorrow. Sorry...no critique. I'm not qualified to tear into poems.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
