Yet another revamp of an older poem I wrote a few years back. Enjoy! You gave me your word, I gave you my heart, Now I don't know Where to start. Remember when we met For the first? And how we kissed, Eyes closed, lips pursed? I thought we could keep this going. That our love would keep on growing. You gave me a promise that you would stay. Hold me tight, see me each day. But broke your oath, hurting me deep. And now you're gone I haven't much to keep. Now all I have Is a shattered heart, My love of life (but only part) And an unforgivable broken promise, That somehow reminds me Of our last kiss its amazing what one single word can do. |
