The fever comes, and beads upon the flesh in pearl
When tips in touch explore sweet slopes and cares unfurl
And eye-to-eye the knowing also comes to be
While tautness glistens every shiver spent in ecstasy

The lapping of the flames engulf the limbs and melting soul
When light upon the frame to find the tangled grind in toll
And seeking of the pleasures so derived by softest touch
While stirring of the embers and the will to give so much

The fire burns, in leaps and measured heights of exclamation
In heat to find the aching places that require consolation
In tender grasses of the butterfly and feathers of the dove
While fingertips through flames express the deepest feel of love
