I was young when you left
But how I wish you were still here
As I miss your guidance and experience
Through these times I struggle
I miss our walks
I miss our chats
But most of all
I miss that flame within your heart
That kept me safe and warm

My memories are few
The details are short
I ask those close to I
But little response I get
All I have are my beliefs
And vague memories
Off our time together

If I got that wish I desired
It would be for you to return

For little we were given
We were deprived
