Contagion She doesn’t intentionally wallow in worry. It’s nighttime that claims all sense, steals daylight’s rationale and throws open curtains of nothingness; she is left exposed, cannot see the largess of stars, or any greater design. Her focus is pinpointed on the colorlessness of close-in fears. In the morning, she puts on robes of responsibility; cloaked in superwoman drag, she hums Helen Reddy lyrics, tackles the day in an overzealous way. She doesn’t fool her family, though. They hear her pacing the house at night, and they worry. © 2002 C.M. Bailey |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Corinne, this broke my heart reading this because I can relate to this depression so well. When I was a boy, I was abused by people at school and ignored by my dad for help ad I had nightmares many nights and believed if I fell asleep I would not survive and so I stayed up as much as I could! (sad sigh) My heart cries out to the person(s) you speak of here and know my thoughts and prayers are with them all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Thank you, sweet Noah. What a sad and horrible thing to do to a child. I'm glad you are free from that now. Peace. Cor |
