Angel come and comfort me tonight
a long time has passed and I crave the site
of you once again, above all else
my heart trampled, and I have felt
lonely without you, empty inside
a little lost, perhaps it was pride
that made me ignore that which I need
more then anything, must I plead
for you to love me, to want me again
to hold me close, to get my heart on the mend
for once I sang the love I have for you
let us forge a love anew
