I love the light on your face
all my pain and worries it does erase
to see your smile light up
reinforces and fills my cup
with the sweet nectar of joy
makes my life something to enjoy
I drink of this cup deep
it makes my heart leap
up above, up high
soaring around the sky
I love you I cannot deny
I am so stupid I want to cry
for while I drink of this juice
my feelings become abstruse
I cannot understand why I do the things
that I do to you, and why I ruin this love I bring
I wish to understand why I am such a fool
sometimes I feel like such a tool
and I know what to do with myself
lock me in this cell
that is my heart bound tight
i cannot break with all my might
I try so hard day to day
but I cannot find the way
to love you like I should
oh I wish to the powers I could
each day I shall try again
will this be my bane
that will keep you away from me
whatever will be will be
is what they say, but I do not agree
for you can change what will be
with just a bit of effort
I can make this love contort
to something you will enjoy
and then I can give you joy
