It happened not long ago we stared through store fronts our hands would smudge counter tops we had to be patient new adventures were around the corner acquaintances would be strained and lost trust developed at higher costs it happened not long ago played on the front steps ran in over a fly bite things weren't just right... lives meant a trip to the next grade lined streets for local parades it happened not long ago. It's funny Martin, I don't remember any of that, It must have been before my time. Keth Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

I miss it, too...and yes, I AM that old... it may not have been a better time, but it seemed a much gentler time... |

a nice look at those times we remember fondly - for better or for worse we live in this time but to remember the other times is very nice - thanks Paul |

(sigh) I can't necessarily relate to these feelings so very well, but I do understand the nostalgia that happens when one grows on and I always deeply respect the way you view all these aspects of life! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Noah, I understand the imagery I'm putting in is different from what you could relate to, but then each poet has his own individuality and style Vandana, I wrote a poem last week on the Narmada project I would have liked you to see...you know I thrive on exposing pertinent issues thanks on sharing this one. |
