The fog engulfs my soul tonight, As I try to think and can not, The cold it tears into my life, To remember how I fought. I wrapped myself in you, Bled my mind and body dry, Lost somewhere without a prayer, Just to keep you satisfied. Pushed myself from my life, A perfect picure of you, A smile that I wore to well, That you never really saw through. A wife that doted on a man, That killed her everynight, Everytime he sang his song, Of making everything alright. Eyes that danced inside a dream, Of what it would mean to feel, A single emotion from you now, That I could imagine to be real. Life escapes me as you speak, I fade away to nothing, But then agian come to think, You have always done that to me.. |

See sis...Austin is distracting your replies already!!!  A wife that doted on a man, That killed her everynight, Everytime he sang his song, Of making everything alright. THIS is why you should not feel the guilt that you do purdy one...you know (as well do we all) that you tried with the better part of your teenage years to make this work... *let yourself BE HAPPY* you deserve it among all others....things happen for a reason...and my beautiful nephew is obvious in your arms... I sit and read your poetry and get a small glimpse of your life. Your sister knows all too much about mine already. I feel for you, Ambs...this is a beautiful expression of hopeless loss and a tear in my own heart. Thank you for sharing this with us. |
