we were romantic chocolate the sun made us fit better then syrup when warm we talked about love things like french fries and chicken and sloshy noises in post offices when fresh wax floors meet new tennis shoes for first dates you smiled in your voice I smelled the blue green colors of velvet lemonade and frozen merlot in sandlewood glass with my eyes closed there you painted your nails with salt sugar cellophane I could taste your kiss in my mind is was warm hand flavors and fit around my neck like a never lonely jacket ©Dark |
