I lose myself in woods so dark,
The world now seems so far away,
I leave a trail, I leave my mark.
But can it last beyond the day?
I see a monster;
Is he real?
Sword in hand,
I make no deals.
One mere swipe,
Just one slash,
And I've just won
He then becomes ash.
But then it ends,
I wake to see
It was my friend
Persuading me
To see such a life
To seek such fun
To think for once
I could have won.
Or was it real?
Within my heart,
I know I played
The greatest part.
Within my soul,
I know it's real,
What I see
And what I feel.

Thank you. I wrote it because we all live for that adventure and for the thrill of living the life of a hero, yet we can live that life within ourselves, and that's what this poem tells people.
