In my crepuscular
bed of corruption
All my minions bow down
Under the half life they lead
At my beck and call
Washed out of any semblance of spirit

They are ensnared in blood ties
And misplaced loyalty
And struggle feebly
Fruitlessly
To escape my web of power

My goad of guilt
Leads them to fall at my feet
In gratitude that my bitterness
Hasn't eaten them alive

They have become shadows to my will
And my will grows stronger yet
As my body fades
They will never be free of me

I am a victim of circumstance made strong by my design

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Auntie Kethp this has got to be one of your most powerful and strong writes ever. Always your writing is exceptional, in this one you have drawn the picture with frightening power. Yes I love it, as mum would say it is utterly brilliant. Rarely do I get the chance to read something as well written, that you combine the threat and menace so well is a bonus

Keth beloved heart your ability to evoke atmosphere is one of the reasons your writing stands out from others. Where some writers can display your ability to write in perfect-metered rhyme few others can paint the scene so clearly. Even fewer can display your depth of writing skill.

You know I positively adore this, it is so brilliantly written and only you could have placed each of the words in this poetic dance of fright. Exquisite darling heart utterly exquisite

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kethry, yes, always attempt to break free as the web shall loosen itself with the power of faith and the echoes of freedom! (sigh) This is fabulous, sweet friend, your words echo and triumph with might, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
