The roses, red and pink, darken in the shadows,
Bird quiet their twitter as they perch for the night,
Grows twinkling from heaven’s ten thousand small windows,
The terrace stone has no paleness from the moonlight,
Star crying fills the night as he sits all alone,
All the while asking himself where the time has gone.

I wonder, did he count the nights
his fingers shadowed the moonlight?
Shading dawn with strong forearm--
perhaps that's where the time has gone...

Thank you, Kit McCallum,
When the sky fills with shooting stars,
What can one do but sit back,
Sip a little wine and ponder,
Pleased you enjoyed my pondering muse.

Thank you, Serenity Blaze,
I’ve stopped counting lonely nights,
Content just to let them pass,
I couldn’t count the sparkling lights,
I’ll just enjoy as they last.

Glad you enjoyed these words,
Enough to give such a wonderful
Poetic response.

Of Time's Passing

Night sky graces the dark with its stars
In moments passing, drifting go I
Dreams of a time when in arms comfort, yours
'Til daylight appears and the stars are in hide.

Time moves so quickly, unfolding its hold
Beauty and truth seem to lessen its wear
Not enough time, as each morn begins rise
Waiting for never, a time once to share.

Do you recall any moment from this?
Frozen in mind, each memory's kiss

Uncovering my thoughts wherein shadows lie
To be second to none, in time's passing, wish I.

dear dark one…

when
taking toll
numbered
investigations
pale in
comparison
in the tally
of yesterdays
the sum
of possibilities
does not
factor
till death

Thank you, Zinsser,
A little mouse once sang
“Some where out there,
… wishing on the same bright star”
Perhaps they were the same streaks across the heavens,
It certainly was the same big sky.

Thank you, Nakdthoughts,
Time is just slow spinning of dark and light,
Endless cycle of day following night,
If footprints on ground or dreams in the sky,
What difference makes markers measured by.
When chopped from life my life rings will you see,
Events building it own reality.

Thank you, 1slick_lady,

In death
My rings will burn
Then to smoke
All I was
All I did learn
Beyond count
Unable to divide
Returns to zero
At the end
Of the ride

Sometimes time stops for just a moment
and then the moment is gone
then we dream about tomorrow
and the coming of the new dawn.

Sometimes time is but a memory
that comes knocking at your door
slipping into the realms of yesterday
because time holds so much more.

thank you for the bit of inspiration

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Aszard, this is so very sad, my heart goes out to the many who watch their lives pass them by and I wish for joy to find them all and give a helping hand! (sigh) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Aszard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
