August’s Amber Moon it rose from the horizon slipping gold throughVenetian slats drenched my world in color as syrup on the stacks it sweetened up the visions that lingered before my wanting eyes and coated all in saccharin through the music of your sighs it drew my arms around you as if tendrils on a vine grasping at the closure of two lives’ luxurious entwine August’s amber moon kissed the crest of a distant hill bringing to our beings a warm and luscious fill ©August 11, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. (smiles) Awwwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I too have seen a hazy moon like this and it is breathtaking to stand out in the heat at night and see the soft pastel glow! (sigh) This is simply marvelous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I love the special color the moon takes on this time of year. This is beautiful, Virginia. ~Beth You look inside my wild mind |
